Felon disenfranchisement is a major problem in the United States. One of AFSFI’s primary missions is to advocate for formally incarcerated individuals raising public awareness and improving the public’s perception of non-violent first-time offenders.
Our initiatives help former offenders find jobs and begin new lives. These programs use state laws to provide transitional support. In addition to helping former offenders find jobs and education.
AFSI’s reentry Advocacy can help former offenders find housing. It also helps former offenders address issues with housing, employment, and mental health services. These programs are proven to be cost-effective for communities.
We work with the local Tidewater communities, employers, and housing providers to assure that members in our programs receive a fair chance during their reintegration with society.
